Of the many discrete horticultural disciplines central to cannabis cultivation, selecting the best genetic material is perhaps the single most important consideration for a successful facility.

The consequences of genetic selection affect every subsequent part of the production process, from the growers’ ability to maximize the plant’s positive expressions within available production parameters, to the ability of post – harvest techs to maintain quality through trimming and packaging, to the product’s shelf life and resistance to degradation.  The biggest consequence is whether your flower or extracts can meet the evolving desires of a growing market. To do that, you need to be able to select for the smells, tastes, and chemical profiles that lead to repeat customers.
