The Cannabis Cup is a blind evaluation of New York State Cannabis and Cannabis Products. We invite the Public to join in and be a judge! Come and evaluate and help us award the best NYS Cannabis products at our event in December 2024.

• DEADLINE FOR SUBMISONS:
  Friday, November 22, 2024
• Contestants can compete in as many categories as they like
• Maximum 1 Submission Per Category.
• Certificates Awarded for Top 3 entries for each Category
• All Contestants will have an opportunity to hit the Main Stage and talk briefly about their Company and Brands.
• Cash Prize & Trophy Awarded to Best of Show (Flower Only) will be a combination of Expert and Public Voting
• All Winners will receive State Wide Press Releases Announcing their accomplishments.

ENTRY CATEGORIES:

FLOWER- 1 oz Per Entry

2 oz sample. Can be packaged as 1 oz Branded Packaging or in ~1 Gram unmarked sample packages with no branding.

• Indica
• Sativa
• Hybrid

PRE-ROLLS – 20 Pre-Rolls Per Entry

Each pre-roll must be one gram. Entry must be packaged into 20 single packages / samples. Packaging must be unmarked and have no branding.

• Pre-Roll Regular
• Pre-Roll – Infused

CONCENTRATES – 2.5 Grams Per Entry

Solvent concentrate products. Entry must be packaged into 20 samples containing .25 gram per sample. Packaging must be unmarked and have no branding.

• Solvent Concentrates
• Non-Solvent Concentrates

VAPE CARTRIDGES – 20 Units Per Entry

Entry must be packaged into 10 half gram samples. Packaging must be unmarked and have no branding.

Edibles – 20 Samples of 25mg THC or CBD

Entry must be packaged into 20 serving / samples of 25mg THC or CBD. Packaging must be unmarked and have no branding. Each entry must have an ingredients label (allergies), black ink and must list the type of cannabis product used for infusion (ie distillate, isolate, bho, raw flower, etc).

TOPICALS – 20 Samples of 100mg

Entry must be packaged into 20 serving / samples of 100mg THC/CBD. Packaging must be unmarked and have no branding. Each entry must have an ingredients label, black ink and must list the type of cannabis product used for infusion (ie distillate, isolate, bho, raw flower, etc).

The Judging Process:

The People’s Choice Cannabis Cup employs a two-tiered digital (online) score sheet that includes a Public score and Expert score.

Each Score (Public & Expert) will account for approximately 50 percent of the total score. This score sheet will be scored by each Judge and will measure his or her personal/professional opinions of each entry. Categories are scored 1-5 by each judge (5 being the highest score).

Expert Judges will be given Submissions days prior to the event in order to sample and submit scores. On the day of the event, Public Judges will evaluate and Score submissions online, at the event. We will calculate each Judge’s score for each entry, and average the 2 scores together, giving a final Total Score and thus our winners.
